WHERE IN THE WORLD IS GUINEA-BISSAU?!

God’s heart breaks for the lost and hurting. As we’ve sought the Lord for where to send our Trailblazers DTS outreach this year we’ve been deeply burdened over the predominantly Muslim nations of Africa, and specifically to the very west, the tiny and seldom heard of country of Guinea-Bissau.

Guinea-Bissau is one of the most desperate places on the planet. Their 2.2 million people struggle under a 47% illiteracy rate, with less than 9% of girls completing high school. They live off of an average annual income of $960 USD, and hold one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world. Almost all lack access to a Bible while 1.1 million remain unreached. YWAM missionaries in-country have asked our Trailblazers DTS outreach to be a small part of seeing Jesus transform this nation, that everyone in Guinea-Bissau would:

★ Hear and understand the Good News of Jesus.

★ Have a Bible in their own language.

★ Have a Christian fellowship nearby.

★ Have access to Christian education for their children.

★ Have the basic necessities of life: food, water, clothing, shelter and health care.

★ Lead a productive life of fulfillment.

We believe God is calling our team to go, but we need your help! Would you give financially toward our ministry today? We depend on God for our finances, which is most often provided through generous partners like you. If you already give to YWAM Niagara Falls, thank you! It is because of your support that we’re able to train and send young people into the mission field – to places like Guinea-Bissau.
